The value of counterfeit and pirated goods is estimated to be worth $2.81 trillion by 2022. Counterfeit products are not only of inferior quality, but can pose serious health and safety risks to consumers.
Successfully navigating intellectual property protections is crucial for success in business today. Cybersecurity threats make this area even more challenging. Join Catherine Shen, of the International Trademark Association (INTA) as she helps us better understand trademarks, brands, when intellectual property should be protected, and the dangers of purchasing counterfeit products. Participants will also learn more about a visiting program to help familiarize students with these topics.
